Belarus is a landlocked
country in Eastern Europe, bordering Russia, Ukraine, Poland,
Lithuania, and Latvia, the capital is Minsk. Other important
cities include Brest, Grodno, Gomel, Mogilev and Vitebsk. One
third of the country's surface is covered in forests.
Belarus is located on the watershed of the Baltic

Belarus is slightly smaller in area than Great Britain and
Romania, more than twice the size of Portugal and Hungary and

in distance east to west and 560 km in distance from north
to south. The country enjoys mild
and humid winters, warm summers and damp autumns. Average July
temperatures range from +17 C to
